Life is great! Sorry that I've been really bad lately about emailing good amounts! I was informed by another missionary(thank you to that missionary if you're reading right now) that every week I say I don't have enough time which is sad but true. But this week is when I change!!! At least I'll try... :)
So we've been teaching this man named Reza. He's from Iran. He's basically really awesome. There's this restaurant in our area called the House of Prime Rib. It may be the most famous restaurant in the city. He said he wanted to take us out to eat but he wouldn't tell us where. We started walking from the church and soon enough this place was in site but we still were like, "no, he wouldn't take us there..." we walked right in! He had to get a reservation 3 weeks earlier... It was a delicious dinner and we basically just had a ton of fun. But there's definitely more meaning to it than just that it was fun. It showed a lot of trust. He is really grateful for us teaching him. We've invited him to be baptized and it's amazing because even though he says that he doesn't know enough to make that commitment, he understands what it truly means to be baptized and just this past week he told us, "I believe that the Bible is true and I believe that Christ actually did what he did." I have learned so much by teaching him about how important gaining a testimony is and how the spirit is the real teacher. It's such a miracle to be able to teach him and a privilege to be here in San Francisco as a missionary.
I love you all! Have a great week!!! You are amazing!!!
With Love,
Elder Barnett
